Student Spotlight: Chloe Hutson

Senior Chloe Hutson is very passionate about music. A member of both concert and the jazz Choir, Hutson is one of five students selected to participate in the KMEA First District Festival Choir. Furthermore, Hutson is also one of four who qualified to audition for the KMEA 10-12th grade all-state choirs. Finally, as one of six CCHS students chosen by independent audition, Hutson will participate in the up-coming Murray State University Quad-State High School Choir.

When asked, “What do you like about choir,” Hutson replies, “I really love music. Since I don’t know how to play an instrument, I sing instead. Choir is a time where I get to do what I love to do the most.”

Choir director Mr. Dycus can see Chloe’s passion for singing and says, “Chloe loves music. She does all this because of that love. But it is hard work, and she does this on top of being an excellent student and holding down a part-time job. “

It is understandable why Chloe enjoys music so much. Plato said, “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.”
