It’s A Banger!

The windows are down, my music is loud, and there is a nice breeze blowing, but something is missing.... music! As I turn up the radio, “Come and get your love” blasts. The whimsical and cheerful tune always brightens my day. Featured in the AMAZING film Guardians of the Galaxy, songs like this one take you back. Block buster films’ playlists never miss, so that must explain the exquisite taste.

The catchy chorus songs such as these remain in the back of your head until someone randomly sings them, and then it is like you cannot escape the tunes.  Speaking of blockbusters, do not even get me started on Steve Lacy! If I hear one more person sing “I bite my tongue, it’s a bad habit” from his song “Bad Habit” I will most definitely lose my mind. Anyway, I digress. Back to the catchy tune, “Come and Get Your Love.”

The interesting part of “Come and get your love” is the background. Redbone is the Native American band that sings it. In this song, Redbone gives recognition to their heritage, telling people to take pride in where they come from. This song is my favorite.

Nowadays, we all have some sort of funky playlist with random songs we love and never want to forget. Most of us throw these songs all together then call it a day. The first pick in my “More Elite Pancake Vibes” playlist...you can find it on Spotify (You’re welcome) - is this “Come and Get Your Love”.  What is on your place list?

Tune in next time and turn up the song “Come and Get Your Love,” because it’s a banger!
