A New Face at Calloway

A new face has entered the building this semester.   Ms. April Ramsey is the school’s new college coach.  According to Ramsey, her job description is to help underserved students take the next step after high school.   

Even though her title is “College Coach”, Ramsey says she is here to help everyone with their post high school plans, including kids going to trade school or into the work force.  

Ms. Ramsey has a bachelor's degree in education from Murray State and has previously worked in the community.  According to Ramsey, she chose this career because, “I am a Laker for Life, and this is my dream job.”  Ramsey has two daughters enrolled in the Calloway school system.   

 Ramsey’s advice for upcoming seniors: “Take advantage of every resource available. Look out for organizations that have listings for scholarships and take advantage of federal aid.”
