The Fall of Kanye West
Kanye West was once a popular music artist and owned a fashion brand named Yeezy, KW Foods LLC, a burger chain in Chicago, a creative content company named DONDA, and a school named Donda Academy. After recent tweets, Kanye has lost most of his fanbase, most of his property, and many other aspects he owns. After Kanye lost most of his assets, he also recently disappeared.
While Kanye is already in lots of trouble due to his recent lawsuit, it will not cover up his previous tweets. Kanye was already in hot water because of some tweets and other social media decisions he has made recently. Then, the artist posted antisemitic tweets which angered many people and caused an uproar. Due to these posts, Kanye has been banned from Instagram and Twitter.
In recent months, West has not been able to avoid controversies in interviews because he claimed that George Floyd, a black man who died after police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for nine minutes, actually died due to a fentanyl overdose despite medical information saying otherwise.
Kanye may have once been idolized but has had his spotlight ripped away due to his own actions. This is one of many examples of the negative impacts of social media on celebrity culture we have seen in the past year.
