Clash in Calloway

The annual Crosstown Classic game kicked off at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 30. The crowd was roaring loudly as usual as Murray received the ball first. The first half was a competitive battle with the game being 14-7 with Murray having the lead going into halftime. The Lakers had shown promise on both sides of the ball and continued to push on as the Tigers fought back. The Laker defense especially showed dominance with the first touchdown for the Lakers being an interception that was brought back to the endzone by defensive lineman Joshua Frost. Sadly, the Lakers could not channel the same energy they had in the first half and lost with a final score of 42-7. Although this is true, the Laker community rallied around their players and congratulated them for a job well done.
