Pet Peeves Make Us Human
There is nothing worse than a pet peeve you have to deal with on a daily basis. After all, everyone has a peeve: you, your teachers, your friends and even your parents. You are always trying to avoid that specific irritation, but it somehow always manages to find its way to you. When someone or something is engaging in behavior you don’t like, you react in a poor manner.
One pet peeve could be the work within class. Kids at school do not have the time at home to do homework these days. We always have something to do afterschool: a job, homework, family, chores, you name it. As a result, schedules are tight and time is rather limited, which is stressful and annoying to say the least. And that is not even taking into consideration the struggle of ignorant and arrogant individuals that disrupt and prevent valuable learning. Quoting an anonymous source, “A lot of them seem to just have some sort of superiority complex, you know? They think they are the main star of the stage, when in reality, it is math class with no stage.”
Another one of your pet peeves may be slow or obnoxious walkers. We have all had those classes in which we’ve had to walk all the way from one class to the other. The trek is tedious enough itself, so having a peer or group tread along sluggishly without any way around them is a frustrating experience. Better yet, a pair or more engaging in, dare I say, affectionate behavior. “They need to take it to a room. Holding hands is okay, but they take it too far sometimes,” says another anonymous individual.
So whether it is homework, obnoxious people, slow walkers, or overly affectionate couples, everyone has some sort of pet peeve. What’s yours?
