It’s a Banger

I don’t know about you, but I am not feeling twenty-two. However, I am feeling ecstatic about Taylor Swift’s release of her newest album, “Midnights”, on October 21st. This talented woman is the face for the music industry. Her youthful age helps her to connect with younger generations through her relatable lyrics.

This new album is good for all to relate to, since it holds a deeper meaning about life. It depicts life as a collage of intensity - - highs and lows, electrifying and romantic. Just like midnight. I feel this album is one of her best considering how unique it is compared to the others. Adding onto that, Swift's Era’s tour has caused a war among citizens. Ticketmaster did not benefit anyone by providing an overwhelming amount of presale codes. With or without this code, people could enter the queue to be in line for tickets, the code wasn’t even required until picking seats and or checking out. Instead of being able to enjoy this process, most fans spent hours just to purchase a seat so far away that Taylor is just a blur. Although it is Taylor Swift, a lot of us would agree the sacrifice is worth it.

I agree how all the songs are amazing, but my personal favorite is “Midnight Rain.” This song specifically stands out to me due to the perspective it gives on many kinds of couples. Any of you that use TikTok know there are thousands of edits using this song to describe any couple on television. Personally, I think the best is the one that compares the personalities of Marvel universe’s Wanda and Vision, and their relationship. Some of the lyrics go, “He was sunshine, I was Midnight rain. He wanted it comfortable; I wanted that pain.” These lyrics show how much of a visionary Taylor is. In those lyrics, it depicts a relationship with two individuals gearing in two separate directions. Plus, it can give a closer look at how the walk of life is different for each person. The guy could be easy-going and content with simple solutions while the girl is used to the chaos, and the feeling of being independent. This may not be a love story but please say yes---to this album because it’s a banger!
