Hear Me Out...
With summer coming to an end, most students are stressed, trying to adjust to new schedules and maneuver the whole A/B Day confusion. Most stress comes from the struggle that comes with juggling multiple activities or responsibilities outside of school. Sometimes it is easy to let those struggles have control over our lives, especially when we forget to make time for ourselves. Hear me out- instead of neglecting self, how about we take a step towards taking back that control. Why not try setting goals?
No one said goal setting would be easy, but it is necessary. Start off small. Find something easy to work on like cleaning your room more often or even practicing your sport for 15 minutes every day. Dedication each day can motivate you to strive for success with any goal that you wish to accomplish. Goals are not just for testing purposes (every set a goal to score higher on the ACT?). Instead, tackle the stressors in your life. Do you wait until the last minute to study? Procrastination causes more stress than staying organized, as well as dampening your necessary motivation. Why not set a goal to tackle this?
Any goal you have for this school year can be accomplished if you remember to stay dedicated and determined. Chin up Lakers; always remember to demonstrate your Laker spirit and set those goals.
